Phoenix Aluminum Pergolas
Powder-coated frames that hold their shape and color in the Phoenix sun.
Sun and dry air are hard on wood. An aluminum pergola won't check, split or warp, and a powder-coated finish only needs rinsing off now and then.
Aluminum frames come in dark bronze, white, tan and wood-grain finishes. Slim rafters spaced close together cast a fine pattern of shade, and the same frame can take a canopy or drop screens later.
Aluminum is lighter than wood, so anchoring matters even more. Every post is bolted to a footing or a slab that can carry it.

Bronze, white, tan or a wood-grain coat that reads like timber from a few feet away.

Slim lattice-style rafters set close for a tighter shade pattern.

Anchored posts with trim covers that hide the hardware.

Aluminum doesn't rot from splash-out around the pool.
| Aluminum | Wood | |
|---|---|---|
| Upkeep | Rinse it off | Restain on a schedule |
| Sun exposure | Holds shape and color | Can check and fade |
| Look | Clean and modern, or wood-grain | Warm natural grain |
| Changes later | Takes canopies and screens | Easy to modify on site |
The metal warms in direct sun, but the shade under the rafters is what you feel. Lighter finishes stay cooler to the touch than dark bronze.
That depends on anchoring. We bolt each post to a footing or a suitable slab rather than relying on the frame's weight.
Yes. Wood-grain powder coats are available on many aluminum systems.
Usually not to a fixed-rafter frame. If you think you'll want louvers, it's better to start with a louvered system.
