Estrella Pergola Installation
Pergolas planned for Estrella homes and the way their backyards get sun.
Estrella is a City of Phoenix village in southwest Phoenix, with a growing number of residential communities alongside the industrial and logistics businesses along I-10.
Many Estrella homes are newer and came with a plain slab and a bare yard. A freestanding aluminum pergola or an attached frame over the slab is often the first shade the backyard gets.
The City of Phoenix's residential patio cover guideline covers one-story structures up to 12 feet tall, open on two or more sides and attached to the house, and it requires construction drawings and a permit. The City's list of work exempt from permit includes one-story detached accessory structures up to 200 square feet of total floor area, and it names ramadas and gazebos as similar uses. Neither document names pergolas, so we confirm with the City of Phoenix whether your pergola needs a permit before we build.
Pergolas over builder slabs.
Low upkeep and HOA-friendly colors.
Extra shade for west-facing yards.
Often. We check the slab's thickness and edges, and add footings where the posts need them.
A louvered roof or a pergola with a drop screen on the west side handles low afternoon sun best.
